Zenbook Touch U500VZ is said to be the top of the line touch screen model thus its specifications are undoubtedly high-end ones. Zenbook being a touch-sensitive laptop allows faster and easier programs navigation. Also, the model features a full HD 1080p IPS display with 300cd/m2 brightness that ensure vibrancy at its best. Also, it is powered by next gen Intel Core i7- 3632QM quad-core standard voltage processors alongside Graphics-boosting discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 2GB GDDR5 hardware which allow better system performance.

Asus’ very own SonicMaster Premium guarantees the eminent audio of the said laptop. It has all-flash dual 256GB flash storage accompanied by SuperSpeed USB 3.0 and is compatible with Windows 8 or other editions available. The high-end Zenbook has a spun-aluminium finish and a cool backlit keyboard that warrants the non-existence of darkness for someone who needs to work or play anytime and anywhere.

Meanwhile, a 13-inch UX31A with a capacitive display is already available in the market and an 11-inch model is reported to have touch-sensitive screen as well. Price of the unit is yet to be announced.

ASUS is on a roll with its line being expanded by the minute and they are not only adding something for the heck of it. The company is playing big with its new 15-ich Asus Zenbook U500.

The U500 is said to be packing some high-end specs which will make us want to drool. The Ultrabook has a great graphics chip which is the NVIDIA GT650M and the chip is partnered with an impressive Ivy Bridge Core i7. It also has a decent 512GB dual SSD but there is an option of a combined 128GB SSD and 500GB HD. The screen will have anti-glare and IPS technology and it will be in full high definition. One interesting feature of this new device is its separate numpad.

If you are all already excited to get your hands on this particular ultrabook, then you might have to wait for a bit. Apparently, there is still no definite date for the release of the Zenbook U500. Pricing is also going to be announced at a later date. Some say that the announcement will likely come out during the Windows 8 press event later. Taiwanese electronics giant Asus hardly ever fails to deliver something good and new to a market filled with power and efficiency-hungry consumers, and two of its latest offers don’t disappoint, especially when they have price tags that anyone on a budget are able to buy.

First of the two most notable Asus gadgets is the Zenbook UX32VD, a 13.3-inch ultrabook that takes it origins from the UX31 model that was released last year. However, it’s a completely different model from the other line and is far more powerful with the ability to carry one of Intel’s upcoming Ivy Bridge family of processors, namely the i3-3217U, i5-317U and the i7-3517U, but it also has the option for a second-gen chip as well. It also has a hybrid disk drive with 500GB for the HDD and 24GB for the SSD side, with an option for a pure solid state drive which has 256GB. Of course, getting the hybrid drive is more ideal, as it has the space only an HDD can give with the quick booting time and performance that the SSD is known for.

There used to be only one ultrabook with a discrete graphics chip on the market, but with the UX32Vd’s 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT620M GPU, people now have another option if they want some power in their ultrabooks, especially something that makes good use of the HD 1920 x 1080px screen.

Of course, both laptops can still be customized, and the prices will change depending on certain choices.

The exact date of release for both laptops is still unknown, but since Intel wont be releasing the Ivy Bridge series for a while, Asus will be shipping them with Sandy Bridge processors for now.

Close followers of Asus would be happy to note that the company recently launched a new ultrabook in Taiwan. What we are referring to here is the Zenbook UX32VD.

The Zenbook UX32VD is a 13.3-inch ultrabook that comes with discrete graphics. Given the serious competition today, this ultrabook sports a serious processor and it takes the form of Intel’s Ivy Bridge CPU line (i3-3217U, i5-3317U or i7-3517U). Its superb processor was partnered with graphics that adds more power and this is the 1GB Nvidia GeForce GT620M. Though considered by some as an entry-level solution, the graphics should be able to bear the requisites of today’s gaming at a resolution of 1366×768 pixels.

Apparently, Asus may be offering an UX32VD unit that comes with a 1080p IPS panel. This clearly implies that the ultrabook may serve in handy when gaming at native resolution is the topic. There is also a robust hard disk drive (HDD) with a capacity of 500GB and there is the 24GB of flash cache. Of course having HDD is a bit of a sacrifice as the ultrabook will be a little bit thicker.

Singapore will get a taste of the Zenbook UX32VD in the coming weeks. As for its international availability, there are no details at the moment. Pricing is said to be in the range of $ 800 – $ 1,100.
