Owners of HTC Sensation may already want to update to the well-known Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). This move has been suggested over a thread that can be found at the XDA forums wherein the ICS has started to be rolled out for Sensation users according to posters.

Information circulating points that ICS update is already happening in Nordic countries and Deutschland. One would expect Europe and the other parts of the globe to follow right after the aforementioned.

The over-the-air (OTA) update brings not only ICS but also HTC Sense 3.6 to handset owners. What’s interesting though is that HTC isn’t really making noise about the OTA update thus it is still a blur whether what’s happening is already official or somebody just did made the mistake of having an accidental push. Apparently, a number of over at the XDA forums have already received the update.

White HTC Sensation with Android 4.0: Price and Europe Release

Close and loyal followers (also fans) of HTC would be happy to note that the Sensation will have an ice white variant with respect to color of course.

Just to refresh our memories, the HTC Sensation has a 4.3-inch touch screen qHD that offers 540×960 display resolution (super LCD). In charge of its multiple functions is the 1.2 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor which was partnered with 768 MB of RAM. Earlier reports pointed the ice white Sensation to have Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) embedded on it but HTC has confirmed that it will be on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) when shipped.

As for internal storage, it has 1GB of memory. Taking stills and videos is made easier with its dual cameras – 1.2 megapixel front-facing webcam and the rear-facing 8 megapixel cam that has autofocus, dual-LED flash and 1080p HD video recording capability.

Our European friends get to enjoy the Ice White Sensation as this will be available by March 1. There is also a bit of good news as over-the-air (OTA) updates for the Sensation will be rolling out soon. Hopefully, Android 4.0 (we’re crossing our fingers as they’re saying it will be early this year) as well as HTC’s new user interface (UI) called Sense 4.0 comes along with it.

No word though as to when the ice white variant hits the US shores. Stay tuned.

Size and weight:

The Motorola Droid Razr measures 5.14 inch (130.7 mm) x  2.71 inch (68.9 mm) x 0.28 inch (7.1 mm). On the other hand the HTC Sensation XL got the dimension 5.22 inch (132.5mm) x 2.78 inch (70.7mm) x 0.39 inch (9.9mm). However, the Xperia Arc weighs a mere 162.5g compared to the Motorola Droid Razr’s 127g.

The Motorola Droid Razr has the 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen makes it even more beautiful. The Motorola Droid Razr offers a pixel density of 256 ppi. If we divert our attention towards the other smartphone, HTC Sensation XL, we find that this phone has a 1.5 GHz Scorpion Single Core processor powered by an Adreno 205 GPU backed by the Qualcomm MSM8255 chipset. As far as the RAM is concerned it has a 768 MB RAM.

Operating System:

Both the smart device the Motorola Droid Razr and the HTC Sensation XL comes with the Android Gingerbread platform. HTC Sensation XL also offers a internal storage of 16 GB. But It does not allows a expansion feature further, since it does not have a microSD expansion slot.
