The BBM app was developed by Blackberry manufacturer with the same name formerly as Research in Motion or RIM. The standalone feature means that the PIN will be removed to allow the app to support both Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or higher and iOS6. Transforming the app into a multi-platform mobile service is designed to broaden the membership base of the BBM community. The messenger is unique for its “D”  and “R” statuses in chats while ensuring privacy and high level of control in terms of manipulating and communicating with contacts.

Previously, BBM allows messaging between Blackberry users via a PIN system which makes communication possible between Blackberry devices. Messages are sent over the Internet via a wireless LAN or WiFi. In addition to text-based messages the messenger can also send voicenotes, files, pictures, and even videocalls while chat groups can also be enabled to allow communication in a single session.

Users of Android or iOS devices will be able to add their contacts to the messenger by way of email, QR code scan, SMS or PIN but Android users need to have a NFC-capable unit that is also compatible. Statistics shows that there are 60 million active BBM users and the average use is 90 minutes per day for 51 million users with more than 10 billion message sent and received on a daily basis. The BBM plan still needs the approval of Google and Apple which will make the app available for free in Google Play and Apple App stores.

Frank Martin or the Transporter as he is fondly called would surely be in ecstasy when he gets his hands on the upcoming and much anticipated third generation Audi TT. Though it’s set to be introduced by late 2014 as a 2015 model, we couldn’t be excited with what the automobile has to offer.

The original TT concept was first unveiled in the 1995 Frankfurt auto show and this is what made Audi a force to be reckoned with in terms of automobile design. For the third generation TT, word is out that Audi is giving focus on the car’s physical attributes or aesthetics so to speak because the company wants to adhere or stick to what the original TT concept was.

With Audi, one is to expect that performance as well as quality is tucked in. The basic variant or TT will be sporting a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder base engine that has direct injection on it. It is said to have at least 220 horsepower (hp) on it which is nine (9) hp higher compared to the current. The TTS or the midlevel model would have more power on it as it will have 300 hp, a jump from 265 on the current one. Moreover, the TT RS will still have its 2.5-liter five cylinder base engine but it has even more power as it will have 380 hp (compared to the current 360 hp).

As to the interior, it is said that it will be undoubtedly simple which has a touch of the future on it or more like having a futuristic feeling on it. This futuristic look is provided by the TFT screen instrumentation to be incorporated on the automobile.

In addition, the 2015 Audi TT is said to ride on Volkswagen’s MQB platform which was first used in the A3. With the MQB adoption, the car has achieved 20 percent cost and space efficiency and this translated to a reduction of almost 132 pounds (lbs) because of the simpler MQB architecture. Apart from the platform, other efficiency considerations include improved aerodynamics, low-friction all wheel drivetrain and more economical engines.

Lastly, a year after the coupes are released, Audi will be follow it up with the release of the TT Roadster.

There are rumors going around that this is the sequel to the Samsung Galaxy Camera released last year. The camera is powered by Android OS with huge 4.8-inch touchscreen display and 21x zoom feature. The camera had flaws which Sammy probably wants to rectify with the S4 Zoom.

Online information confirms that the Galaxy S4 Zoom will be having a 4.3-inch touchscreen panel with qHD AMOLED display. It will be powered by the latest Android Jelly Bean OS and Samsung’s own TouchWiz Nature UX interface along with dual-core/quad-core processor, 8GB internal storage, microSD support up to 64GB, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and built-in A-GPS. Of course, what sets it apart from other phone models is its powerful 16 megapixel camera with 10x zoom (previously said to be 21x). It will be offered in either black or white colors.

More details will be divulged on the forthcoming Galaxy Camera 2 as we near its release date around June or July of this year. No price details were mentioned but considering its specs, there’s a possibility that Samsung will offer this handset at an affordable price – probably less than its Galaxy S IV flagship. Stay tuned.
