Sony has once again unleashed another new camera in its bag of goodies and this time it’s the Sony Alpha NEX-5N which is the successor to the Sony NEX-5. According to some, both cameras are the same but we do beg to differ.

Being the fourth model unveiled under the company’s NEX line of cameras (do note that this line has APS-C format mirrorless lens that are interchangeable), the NEX-5N boasts Sony’s latest sensor which is the 16.1 million effective pixels. In terms of built, the camera has magnesium alloy for its material particularly in the front and top plate. The maximum shooting rate is at 10 fps (continuous shooting mode at full resolution) while sensitivity is at ISO 100 – 25,600.
It is equipped with an LCD touch screen and there’s lens aberration correction (in-camera CA, vignetting and distortion correction). As for videos, it can be recorded at 1080p 60p in AVCHD format. One can also find electronic first curtain shutter (this reduces shutter lag) and would be owner has the option to equip it with an electronic viewfinder.
For those who want to have an upgrade in their cameras, the Sony NEX-5N may be the practical toy for you. As for details with respect to pricing and availability, no word was given yet.
