LG’s upcoming flagship device, the Optimus G Pro, is said to rival the Galaxy Note 2 on every angle. We’ve seen a few leaks about this device basically from FCC and other online sources. However, we’re quite excited to know about the official model coming to US consumers via AT&T.

It’s good to note that the Optimus G Pro variant for Uncle Same doesn’t deviate from the Global version. It will have the same 5.5-inch display, 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB onboard RAM, 32GB internal storage, microSDXC support up to 64GB, 13MP rear camera, 2.1MP front shooter, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC and onboard battery at 3,140mAh.
What has changed, however, includes the Full HD IPS display compared to the original True HD-IPS+. Furthermore, the AT&T-bound Optimus G Pro support’s Ma Bell’s network including LTE (700/1700 MHz), HSPA+21 (850/1900/2100 MHz) and quadband GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz). The onboard Jelly Bean version is also old, Android 4.1.2, instead of the latest 4.2.2 (update might be on the way). Other customized AT&T apps included in the package are AT&T DriveMode and Navigator. LG has also include its own software suite including QSlide 2.0, Dual Recording, Tag+ for NFC, Notebook and QuickMemo.
The LG Optimus G Pro will be formally unveiled this coming Wednesday in New York. Perhaps we’ll hear additional details about the handset including its price tag.
