Just moments ago, Rockstar made the gamingsphere stop for a moment; after revealing GTA V’s second trailer. Naturally, a lot of details have been spilled along with few easter eggs to analyzed.

But first, let’s compare the two trailers shall we?

GTA V No. 1 & No. 2 Trailer Comparison

On the technical side, the first trailer was 1:25 in length while the new one lasted for 1:51 minutes (that’s 20 more seconds of action)

Trailer 1 was fully narrated by Michael while #2 was a collation of events and voices acted by the three protagonists along with new characters that we’ll reveal shortly.

Trailer 1 is a bit more conservative when it comes to the idea on how the game will pan out; Meanwhile, #2 is more enlightening in a sense that you can already see the personality of each of the protagonists along with the type of missions / quest you’ll take. The vehicles were also emphasized along with new destructible objects.

Likewise, watching both trailers gives you a feeling like you’re being on the first scene of the movie Goodfellas where Ray Liotta was narrating all the brutal things happening to gangsters, but the whole tempo isn’t really serious and kinda comical actually. GTA V New Easter Eggs

Micahel Could be Living near Bay area. He’s very rich, laid back and the type of guy who has seen and done it all. It also shows he has a new life after all the trouble of being a hired gun.

As you can see, Mike has two female occupants – a black haired gal and a blonde one; the latter could be his wife or that girl from the poster (bikini girl or the one caught by a female officer). You can also notice a tatoo on her back.

The place is really big, you can cross from mountains, beach, lakes and there’s also a bridge with trains and buses as transportation

Aside from the return of ammu-nation, you can notice a liquor shop along with drunks passing by

As for Trevor; G.I’s cover was spot on characterizing him as a psychopat killer; very brtual and has his own weird ways of finishing his objectives. Take for example that house explosion from a molotov cocktail he throw.

Meanwhile, Franklin likes cars, he steals it too although he doesn’t like gangs and has problem with his wife. There’s also another black guy (son / friend) whom he tries to raise differently with better morals.

Apple inspired products are there, and aside from the bikini girl holding a smartphone; there’s the iMac-like product with the iFruit brand.

Going back to Michael, it shows he has problem raising his child James; who is by the way an addict and puts Michael in a lot of heat.

One of the highlighted scene was bank robbery which is connected with Trailer 1 wherein you can see Mike wearing a red jumper suit that says “Call 1-999-Bugstar” probably a decoy for the bank heist. This also shows Michael will get his hands dirty again. There’s also a lot of little scenes where Trevor brutally assaults his victims and that train explosion – perhaps it would be the things we should anticipate when we play him as the protagonist.

On the later part of the trailer, Franklin was shown in a motocross race. This hints bike races will be part of the game too. Other things you can also do is Skydiving (with or without parachute perhaps!).

Other Easter Eggs

That cute Rotweiller is officially there, from Franklin definitely.

A new guy?

“That’s Trevor my best friend; Franklin – the son I always wanted.” This has been rumored for a while but as hinted, Franklin is smart.

Jets vs Helicopters.

A dodo plane.

And… expect comedy inside the game ala Rockstar style.

Our Thoughts

Hopefully, this game won’t be delayed because from the looks of it, not only this title a GOTY-material already but we’re expecting V to revolutionize how open-world sandbox titles perform on multiplayer; like what GTA 3 did to single-player.
