Motion CL910 Tablet PC Now Available, Will Support Windows 8

The Texas-based developer Motion Computing has always been one of the companies that customers in vertical markets tend to look at for tablet PCs, and it’s shown that it’s not about to stop any time soon. In fact, it already has a successor to the CL900 that was released early last year, the CL910.

The Motion CL910 looks much like its predecessor in terms of design, as it keeps the 10.1-inch touchscreen with 1366 x 768px HD resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass display, 3MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, voice recognition and 62GB of SSD storage. It also carries its own pen and natural pen support for those who prefer having a stylus or tablet pen in hand. However, it manages to be a step up from the older model with a dual-core 1.6GHz Atom N600 processor, storage expansion up to 128GB and 2GB of RAM. It’s also set to have the Motion staple TPM which adds more layers of security to the tablet and a SlateMate, which includes a magnetic strip reader and barcode scanner for business owners, but that peripheral is sold separately.

The Motion CL910 is eligible for an update to Windows 8 once the OS starts rolling out, but for now it comes with Windows 7 Professional right out of the box. It’s already available internationally starting at $ 1,259.99 at stores and Motion’s own online store.
