Sony Xperia SL is now officially seen with a bit of advancements as it has been seen revealed in its official page before two weeks of expectation. The device comes with a bit more faster CPU with the dual-core Qualcomm S3 chipset having two Scorpion cores that clocks at 1.7GHz instead of 1.5GHz. The other specs are similar to that of the Xperia S. The device measures 128.0 x 64.0 x 10.6 mm and the weight being 144 g, it is the same as its predecessor. Another difference is that, the SL will be offered in a new pink color together with the previously available white, black and grey color options. You can have its later details discussed below.
The Sony Xperia SL Smartphone is enabled with a 4.3 inches LED-backlit LCD capacitive touchscreen display having the display resolution as 720 x 1280 pixels and the other display feature are as ~342 ppi pixel density, up to 10 fingers Multitouch functions, Scratch-resistant glass, Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine and is paired with Timescape UI. It runs on Android v4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System and is powered by a Dual-core 1.7 GHz Processor. It is embedded with Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon Chipset along with GPU Adreno 220 graphics.
The connectivity options which are offered are such as GPRS up to 86 kbps, EDGE up to 237 kbps, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, EDR, NFC support, Speed HSDPA, 14.4 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.8 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, microUSB v2.0 connector and USB On-the-go support. The storage features are as 32 GB storage and 1 GB RAM. The various sensors which are equipped are such as accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass.
In terms of its camera, the device comes equipped with a 12 MP rear-facing primary camera that carries a camera resolution of 4000×3000 pixels as well as accorded with many of the other camera features such as autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, 3D sweep panorama, image stabilization, video recording at 1080p@30fps and is equipped with a front-facing secondary 1.3 MP camera for video calling.
