2012 April has been a good month for users awaiting the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update on their devices as a number of handsets received the update. You must create a a backup of the existing application on your Sony S tablet before proceeding with the firmware upgrade else will lose all data present in the tablet. The package for upgrade is of larger file size so make sure to proceed with this update over Wi Fi network.
Steps to Install Official ICS Update in Samsung Galaxy S2:
Step-1: As this is an official update, you will receive notifications directly on your device saying that the updates are available for your tablet along with other details of the update. If you have received any such notifications then you can choose to tap on Install Now or Install Later option.
Step-2: Install Now option will update the software instantaneously and Install later option will remind you daily of the update. Users who haven’t received any notifications can manually check by navigating through the path Menu > Settings > About Tablet > Software update then tap on Update Android.
Step-3: After the updates are applied, you can check the software version by navigating through Menu > Settings > About Tablet then check for the built number and software number.
